- Harikrushna Pattani & Associates - Best Architect in Ahmedabad
Architecture & Interior Design Firm in Ahmedabad
Designing from the inside out
From site planning and façades to furniture, lighting and site coordination, every decision is shaped around how people live, move and use the space.
We create thoughtful homes, workplaces and commercial spaces, bringing architecture, interiors and execution together from the start.
- The practice
One design direction, from architecture to interiors.
Harikrushna Pattani & Associates is an Ahmedabad-based architecture and interior design practice working across residential, commercial and institutional projects. We begin with the essentials: the site, climate, privacy, circulation, lifestyle, operational needs and the realities of construction.
When we are appointed for both architecture and interiors, planning, structure, openings, furniture, lighting, materials and technical details can develop as one coordinated design.
- Planning before appearance, with use, movement, privacy and function resolved early.
- Site-specific thinking that responds to Ahmedabad’s sun, heat, shade and indoor–outdoor life.
- Buildable design, with details, documentation and coordination developed for execution.
- What we do
One coordinated process, from planning to execution.
We can support a project from its earliest planning stages through interiors and execution, or work within a focused scope depending on what the project requires.

Good design is resolved before it is decorated.
The objective is not a recognisable style repeated from project to project. It is a clear response to the people, place, climate, program and construction realities of each commission.

Coordinate execution

- Our Home Base
Rooted in Ahmedabad, designed around each place.
Ahmedabad remains central to our practice, and many of our residential and interior projects are located across areas such as Science City, Thaltej, Shilaj, South Bopal, Satellite and Bodakdev. In Ahmedabad, orientation, shade, cross ventilation, courtyards, terraces and material performance play an important role in creating comfortable spaces for the local climate.
At the same time, good architecture is never based on one city alone. Every project responds to its own climate, site, context, lifestyle and construction conditions. We work across Gujarat and consider selected projects beyond the state depending on the project, location and scope.
- Founder & Principal
Harikrushna Pattani
A design practice shaped by extensive professional experience across architecture, interiors and urban-scale work.
Before founding Harikrushna Pattani & Associates, Harikrushna built over a decade of experience in one of India’s Top 25 architecture firms and worked across more than 100 projects ranging from approximately 3,000 sq.ft. residences to 4 lakh sq.ft. urban developments.
The practice begins with how people need to live, move and use space, then develops the architecture and interiors around that understanding.

Planning a project in Ahmedabad?
Our journal answers practical questions clients ask before design begins, from budgets and planning decisions to the stories behind completed homes.
Questions clients often ask before starting a project.
Clear scope at the beginning makes the design process easier to manage.
What services does Harikrushna Pattani & Associates provide?
HPA works across architecture, interior design, urban design and design-led construction/site coordination. Depending on the appointment, the scope can include site analysis, planning, façade development, interiors, working drawings, consultant coordination, furniture, lighting, materials and execution coordination.
Can you handle architecture and interior design together?
Yes. When HPA is appointed for both, the building and interior can be developed as one coordinated design direction by connecting planning, openings, structure, furniture, lighting, materials and technical detailing.
What types of projects do you design?
The portfolio includes luxury homes, bungalows, villas, apartments, penthouses, offices, commercial buildings, institutional/healthcare environments and selected larger developments. The exact scope depends on location, project scale and the level of coordination required.
Do you work only in Ahmedabad?
No. Ahmedabad is our home base and an important part of our portfolio, but our work is not limited to the city. We undertake projects across Gujarat and consider selected projects in other locations depending on the scale, scope and coordination requirements.
How early should I appoint an architect or interior designer?
Ideally before major planning, budgeting, construction or material decisions are fixed. Early involvement lets the brief, site, climate, planning requirements, furniture, services and budget direction be considered together.
What does architecture or interior design cost at HPA?
HPA's published 2026 cost guide states that interior projects currently start from ₹40 lakh and architecture projects from ₹2 crore, excluding land. Final cost varies with project size, finish level, custom work, materials, technical complexity and execution scope. See the detailed Ahmedabad cost guide.
Do you provide drawings and consultant coordination for execution?
Working drawings and consultant coordination can form part of the agreed scope. Architecture and interior execution require dimensioned technical information and coordination with the relevant structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and specialist consultants rather than relying on 3D views alone.
