Before Construction Starts
Confirm your drawing set is complete before your contractor begins work on-site.

A complete drawing set protects your investment, reduces site confusion and improves execution quality. Review each item with your architect — if any answer is unclear, do not rush into construction.
Site plan with plot boundary, north direction, setbacks and access
Floor plans (all levels) with full room dimensions
Furniture layout plan showing actual furniture placement and scale
Elevation drawings (all four sides of the building)
Section drawings (at least two cuts through the building)
Explains ceiling heights, slab levels and double-height spaces
Authority submission drawings prepared
Verified against current AMC / AUDA / CGDCR requirements
Area statement, setbacks and parking confirmed
Door and window schedule with sizes, opening types and materials
Staircase detail drawing with tread, riser, railing and headroom
Kitchen detail drawing: counter height, appliances, plumbing and electrical
Bathroom detail drawing: fixture placement, drainage slope and tile layout
Wall elevation drawings for all key interior walls
Foundation and column layout from structural engineer
Beam and slab drawings
Reinforcement details
Structural drawings coordinated with architectural design
Column positions must not conflict with room layouts or open spans
Electrical layout: light points, switchboards, sockets, AC points and outdoor lighting
Electrical layout coordinated with furniture and ceiling design
Plumbing and drainage layout: supply lines, drainage, rainwater pipes and slopes
HVAC / AC layout: indoor units, outdoor units, ducts and drainage points
In Ahmedabad's climate, AC layout affects ceiling design, load and maintenance
False ceiling drawing with levels, coves, AC integration and lighting positions
Flooring layout with material type, pattern direction, starting point and level changes
Wardrobe, TV unit and storage unit detail drawings
Lighting plan showing each fixture type, placement and purpose
Material and finish schedule documented for all areas
Avoids vague terms like "premium finish" — prevents disputes during execution
All contractor quotations are based on the same drawing set
Landscape and external development plan complete
Garden, paving, outdoor lighting, drainage and boundary areas
Compound wall, gate width, car turning radius and parking drawings ready
Client has reviewed and approved all drawing sets
Architect has confirmed drawing scope and inclusions in writing
Site team has received the complete drawing package before work begins
